A geometric 3D EP cover, blending Blender-based modeling with bold compositing in Photoshop, capturing the high-energy essence of Johney’s The Bees for Toronto’s Deviant Audio.

OVERVIEW
For this project, I used Blender to craft the striking, hive-inspired 3D model at the heart of the design, then brought all elements together in Photoshop to create a cohesive and impactful composition. Collaborating with the Toronto-based label Deviant Audio, I aimed to reflect the EP’s dynamic sound while maintaining a visually arresting aesthetic. The final artwork features bold typography, layered geometric elements, and a vivid colour scheme, all tailored to resonate with fans and industry professionals.
RESULTS
The Bees EP garnered over 60,000 listens worldwide and received high-profile coverage in DJ Mag. Acclaimed artists like Four Tet and Benga also supported the release, further boosting its visibility. This successful reception underscored the artwork’s role in establishing a memorable visual identity and strengthening the label’s brand presence.
